Adm Chirkov specifies planned Arctic deployment of missile cruiser PETR VELIKIY (first announced on Navy Day 28 Jul): will sail “this month” to provide naval presence in the Arctic along the Northern Sea Route from Barents Sea to New Siberian Islands …together with two landing ships (OLENEGORSK, KONDOPOGA), two KASHTAN salvage ships (KIL-164, KIL-926 ALEXANDER PUSHKIN, two salvage tugs (PAMIR, SORUM MB-100), tanker VYAZMA, supply vessel PECHORA.
(rmks: basically, looks like a repetition of last year’s Arctic deployment)
