PJAK deputy commander killed

TEHRAN, Sept. 7 (MNA) – The deputy commander of the counter-revolutionary group PJAK has been killed in the new round of operations carried out by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps against PJAK terrorists, the Fars News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Reportedly, Majid Kavian, alias Semko Sarholdan, was killed by shrapnel on September 3. The website of PJAK confirmed his death in a statement. On September 2, the IRGC Ground Forces began a new round of operations against PJAK after the end of a one-month respite given to terrorists to retreat from border areas in northwestern Iran.

TEHRAN, Sept. 9 (MNA) – Brigadier General Abbas Ali Jannesari of the IRGC has been martyred in skirmishes with the counter-revolutionary group PJAK.
