Afghan President Hamid Karzai has praised Iran's role in the reconstruction of his country, describing the Islamic Republic as the most trustworthy partner for Afghanistan.
“Afghanistan places greatest trust in Iran, and the aid by the Islamic Republic of Iran for the reconstruction of Afghanistan has been practical and operational,” Karzai said in a meeting with Chairman of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi in Kabul on May 25.
