Tehran Stock Exchange's (TSE) main index, TEPIX, has registered a new record over a boost from the stocks of metal and shipping industries.
The TSE's ongoing surge continued on Saturday as the TEPIX soared to a fresh record, standing at 26,183 in the early morning hours, IRNA reported.
The gain by TSE's main index was mostly due to Iranian copper, steel and shipping companies.

People in Iran March to Condemn Suppression of Protestors in Region
TEHRAN (FNA)- Thousands of Iranians took to the streets of Tehran and other cities across the country on Friday to voice their anger at the brutal suppression of peaceful protests in a number of regional countries. During the massive demonstrations held following the Friday Prayers, demonstrators expressed their frustration with the crimes committed against Bahrainis by the Al Khalifa and Saudi Arabia's Al Saud dynasties.
Protesters marched from the venue of the Friday Prayers at Tehran University towards Palestine Square.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's largest carmaker, Iran-Khodro Company, announced on Wednesday that it plans to boost production by over 13% this year.

"In the current year, the daily production of Peugeot 206 and Samand will exceed 1200 and 1000 units respectively," the CEO said, and added, "Paykan pickup will be phased out and substituted by Samand pickup this year."
IKCO launched two new production plants in Mazandaran and Fars provinces last year the production capacity of which are 15 and 10 thousand cars per annum, respectively, and the sod was turned for establishing two other plants in Semnan and Azarbaijan provinces located in Northern and Northeastern Iran.
