Terrorists arrested in W Iran operation

Iranian security forces have arrested eight terrorists after they swooped on a house in the west of the country belonging to Salafi elements.

The house was located in a rural area in the city of Sanandaj in Kordistan province. A huge stash of weapons and ammunition was seized during the operation, local sources told a Press TV correspondent. The explosives were enough to destroy half of Sanandaj, a Press TV correspondent says.

Meanwhile, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' (IRGC) Ground Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said IRGC forces killed two militants involved in earlier terrorist attacks which also took place in western Iran on March 24.
