(Sonstiges) Vergleich zwischen M16 und M4

Wie es der Titel sagt hat ein altbekanntes Ritual begonnen und zwar der der Suche nach eine besseren Sturmgewehr für die US Streitkräfte, da ja noch dazu sowieso fast alles was auf den Markt ist besser währe sollte dies nicht sehr schwer werden aber da hat wohl keiner wider mit der M16 Mafia gerechnet. Dennoch obgleich man das Ergebnis schon kennt bevor eine Ausschreibung überhaupt gemacht wurde hier die Neuigkeit.

Army Sets Sights on New Rifle

For the first time in almost 50 years, the U.S. Army wants to replace the standard rifle shouldered by hundreds of thousands of frontline troops around the world.

The service this week advertised its interest in a new weapon that would incorporate futuristic sights and other advances in rifle design and be able to handle improved ammunition.

The gun would potentially supplant the M4 carbine, a shorter-barrel version of the M16, the Army's main infantry weapon for decades.........
