The CHARLES DE GAULLE carrier group (CHARLES DE GAULLE, FORBIN, TOURVILLE, MEUSE, AMETHYSTE) sails from Toulon, starting this year’s four-month mission “Agapanthe” … head for the Indian Ocean for exercises with Saudi Arabia and India, six weeks off the Pakistan coast for Afghanistan air support (Rafale fighters) and a number of port visits, among them at Abu Dhabi, UAE (rmks: entering the Persian Gulf).
Immediately before sailing, HORIZON class destroyer FORBIN officially “accepted into service”.
