An Israeli surveillance balloon has entered Lebanon's airspace in violation of the country's sovereignty, according to the Lebanese army.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli reconnaissance plane also reportedly violated Lebanon's airspace.
The aircraft, which entered Lebanese airspace over the southern border town of Naqoura, proceeded to fly over eastern Lebanon and the capital Beirut.
