Zitat:Reliance to Stop Gasoline Sales to Iran under US Pressures

TEHRAN (FNA)- Reliance Industries Ltd has decided to stop gasoline supplies to Iran after fulfilling all contractual obligations.

The decision came after eight US congressmen wrote to the US Export-Import Bank to suspend all financial assistance to Reliance until it agreed to halt sales to Iran, the Business Standard newspaper reported on Wednesday, without naming its sources.

The move will not impact Reliance's business as sales to Iran were not substantial, the newspaper said.

Zitat:Iran Buys 3 mln Barrels of Gas Oil from Singapore

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran has secured a deal to import 3 million barrels of gas oil from Singapore trader Hin Leong, as it moves quickly to cover a loss of supply from Indian suppliers, industry sources said on Wednesday.

From 2008 to 2010, Iran will need an average of nearly 70,000 bpd of gas oil imports to help meet power generation needs during cold weather, said FACTS Global Energy.

Iran's demand for diesel, included in gas oil in 2008, was pegged at about 560,000 barrels per day, said Washington-based consultancy PFC Energy.

Demand for gasoline was around 412,000 bpd.

Diesel demand growth of 8 percent per year has outstripped increases in production and forced imports to rise to over 55,000 bpd, PFC said.
