Saab launches first Polish SIGINT ship

On 1 July 2025, the launch of Poland’s first SIGINT (signal intelligence) ship from Saab, ORP Jerzy Różycki, took place in Gdańsk, Poland. [...] This event marked the launch of the first of two SIGINT ships acquired under Poland’s ‘DELFIN’ programme. [...] The vessels within the ‘DELFIN’ programme are built by Saab as the prime contractor. Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. is subcontracted to construct the ships, with Polish company MMC supporting Saab with design work. Saab is fully responsible for supplying and integrating the advanced mission systems. Other entities within the Polish defence industry are also involved in the implementation of the project.

Polen bestätigt seine Absicht, bis Ende des Jahres neue U-Boote zu bestellen

Premierminister Donald Tusk bestätigte diese Woche, dass das Programm Orka, mit dem die polnische Flotte mit neuen U-Booten ausgestattet werden soll, bis Ende dieses Jahres gestartet wird. Mehr als ein halbes Dutzend internationale Hersteller stehen im Wettbewerb, darunter die französische Naval Group mit der neuesten Version der Scorpène-Familie.

„Wir werden bis Ende des Jahres einen Beschluss zum Kauf von U-Booten verabschieden. Die Angebote wurden geprüft, und die polnische Regierung wird nun entscheiden, wer Partner des Programms wird.“

Der Auftrag umfasst voraussichtlich drei Schiffe mit zusätzlichen Optionen (mindestens eine).
