Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan signed a new trilateral defense agreement on Friday, formally named the Mecca Agreement.
The Mecca Agreement's central provision is a collective-defense clause.
Any armed attack against one of the three states shall be regarded as an attack against them all.
It is intended to strengthen collective deterrence against aggression and to enhance all aspects of defense cooperation among the three countries.
