Zitat:Airbus to continue to support Germany's military satellites
Airbus will continue to operate and provide support for Germany's military satellite communication (satcom) systems. Announced by the Bundeswehr on 9 February, the company has been awarded a contract extension for the operation of the authority's COMSATBw 1 and 2 satellites until 31 December 2028.
The deal is valued at EUR52.8 million (USD56.7 million) and will ensure continued access to secure satcom and shore up Germany's orbital position in space. COMSATBw-1 and COMSATBw-2 are two geostationary orbit (GEO)-based satellites that form part of the Bundeswehr's wider satellite-based communication system – SATCOMBw – which includes a number of tactical and strategic ground stations. The satellites provide secure telecommunications for military users, including voice/data transmissions, video, and multimedia applications.
Fully operational since 2010, the satellites have a 15-year service life and operate in ultra-high frequency (UHF) and super high frequency (SHF).

Zitat:Germany improving space sovereignty over Russian satellite interception fears: Defence Minister
Germany is increasing its space capabilities over worries Russian satellites will intercept German communications in space, German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius told Janes on 13 March during a press conference in Bardufoss, Norway. [...]
When asked by Janes whether there have been any recent incidents involving Russian satellites, the German defence minister said, “not as far as I'm informed”. Pistorius spoke to Janes at Bardufoss during the Norwegian-led, NATO exercise ‘Cold Response 2026'. Before arriving at Bardufoss, Pistorius and other officials visited the launch site of Isar Aerospace at Andøya Space in northern Norway. The space centre and rocket range is continental Europe's first orbital launch site, according to a 13 March Isar Aerospace press release.
In November 2025, the German Federal Ministry of Defence and the Federal Foreign Office presented the country's first national Space Safety and Security Strategy. The announcement came following Pistorius' warning in September 2025 that satellites owned by the company Intelsat, but used by the Bundeswehr, were being shadowed by two Russian military signals intelligence (SIGINT) satellites known as Luch-1 and Luch-2 (or Olymp-K and Olymp-K-2). He announced this at the BDI Space Congress 2025 where he also launched a EUR35 billion (USD40.05 billion) investment in space programmes in the five years to 2030.

Das All wird im. Nächsten Krieg zur unkontrollierten Trümmer zone a la "gravity"
Jeder zerstören jeden und alles... Mit exponentiell kaskadierender Wirkung.
Dann muss wieder gute alte WK2 Taktik und Technik am Boden kämpfen.
Und Deutschland und die NATO hat keine 1950 Technik im Lager....
