ASELSAN Tests GÖKTAN Surface-Launched Guided Bomb
ASELSAN has announced the test firing of the GÖKTAN ground launch system for TOLUN SDB, developed in cooperation with DeltaV for the rocket booster.

TOLUN SDB, launched by the GÖKTAN system on the 18th of February 2025, successfully hit the target in the test.

GÖKTAN system includes the rocket booster developed by DeltaV, known for its hybrid fuel rockets, command & control system, and fire control system.

GÖKTAN developed to launch TOLUN SDBs from the surface, consists of a rocket booster and jettisoning system that separates TOLUN from the booster at the end of the boost phase.

The new munition in the launch state is estimated to be slightly larger than 300 mm in diameter and about 6.5 meters in length. For comparison, GÖKTAN’s U.S.-made counterpart, GLSDB, combines a 227 mm M26 rocket motor with the GBU-39/B SDB (A direct counterpart to TOLUN), which measures 3.91 meters in length. GLSDB has a firing range between 90 km and 150 km, depending on target orientation relative to the launch direction.

Kızılelma Unmanned Fighter’s Fourth Prototype Breaks Cover TurDef
Baykar CTO Selçuk Bayraktar shared the images of Kızılelma unmanned fighter’s fourth prototype with the tail code “TC-OZB4” on his X account.

As the third prototype, PT-3, fitted with a Ukrainian afterburning AI-322 type engine, continues its tests, the fourth prototype has been revealed in taxis.

The differences in the fourth prototype have not been disclosed, but internal changes may have been made. However, it is understood that the external changes are minimal compared to the third prototype, which is highly streamlined compared to the previous ones.

Kızılelma is expected to use the MURAD 200-A AESA radar, TOYGUN-100 EOTS, and KARAT-100 IRST, and the distributed apertures suggest a directional awareness system is also on the table.

Meteksan Defence signed an export agreement with EDGE Entity ADASI today to integrate MILSAR radars into the GARMOOSHA unmanned aerial system (UAS).



The agreement, signed at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference 2025 (IDEX 2025), will allow ADASI to equip the GARMOOSHA UAS with a new, fully integrated non-kinetic payload that includes multiple moving target indication modes for detecting and monitoring prospective targets. The MILSAR radar will also offer the GARMOOSHA’s end users a Synthetic Aperture Radar mode for high-resolution and all-weather imaging, target classification, and ground mapping.

Der Chef von Roketsan, Murat Ikinci hat verlauten lassen das es eine luftgestützte Variante der TRG-300 Kasirga MLRS Rakete geben wird. Diese ALBM kann von Drohnen und Kampfflugzeugen aus eingesetzt werden. Die Reichweite dieser Waffe liegt bei 250 km + und die luftgestützte Kasirga ist vergleichbar mit der israelischen Rampage.

Baykar Tech hat eine neue Version der Bayraktar TB-2 Drohne vorgestellt, es handelt sich dabei um die Bayraktar TB-2T-AI Drohne. Zu den Verbesserungen zählen ein neues Turbo Triebwerk, ein neues aerodynamisches Design mit Winglets und drei KI Computer.

Baykar integrates AI to TB2. The new generation variant Bayraktar TB2T-AI, powered by a turbo engine and expanded AI capabilities, performed its maiden flight.

The new variant stands out externally and internally from the baseline Bayraktar TB2-armed UAV.

The new turbo engine (which might be a turbocharged engine) allows for increased MTOW, a higher maximum speed of 300 km/h and an operational altitude of more than 30000 ft, to which it can climb in under 30 minutes. The new engine also came with noticeably larger air intakes at the bottom. For comparison, Bayraktar TB2 has an operational altitude of 16000 ft. This represents a major leap in survivability against low-altitude air defence systems and emerging C-UAS loitering munitions.

Baykar has been investing in the survivability department for Bayraktar TB2 in other ways, such as barrel roll manoeuvre tests and integration of various electronic warfare pods.

The aerodynamic design has seen changes with ailerons, reducing induced wing drag and horizontal extensions on the tail. The ailerons are likely to contribute to the endurance, which is 27 hours for the Baseline Bayraktar TB2.

Bayraktar TB2T-AI’s AI capabilities include three AI computers providing terrain-referenced navigation, automatic runway recognition, and dynamic flight path optimisation.

Everything summed up, Bayraktar TB2T-AI brings greater raw performance and takes advantage of Baykar’s developments in AI as the next generation of the Bayraktar TB2 family.

ASELSAN informed the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it signed an agreement with BMC. The statement reads, “An agreement regarding the procurement of Remote-Controlled Weapon, Military Communication, Identification, Self Protection and Navigation Systems for the use of Turkish Land Forces Command has been signed between ASELSAN and BMC Otomotiv valuing EUR 96.852.535,-. Deliveries will be made between the years 2027-2028.”

Today, BMC was awarded a contract to procure 29 8X8 Altuğ Armoured Combat Vehicles for Turkish Land Forces.

The offset agreement seeks to raise the localisation rate in Türkiye's design and manufacturing of aircraft batteries.

ASPİLSAN will use its research and development capacity to create high-performance cells satisfying aerospace sector criteria.

Akıncı UCAV’s Akıncı-A variant with AI-450T turboprop engines was used in the flight test. Previously, the radar was tested onboard an F-16 fighter jet. The test video also shows the radar screen from the ground control station.

Using GaN architecture, MURAD can perform various air-to-air and air-to-surface functions.

The air-to-air capabilities include midcourse guidance for missiles, high-aspect search, helicopter detection, and weather mode. Air-to-surface capabilities include SAR imaging, ground-moving target indication, fixed target tracking, mapping, and rangefinding.

Die VAE war noch vor wenigen Jahren ein Gegenspieler in Libyen, mittlerweile hat sich das Verhältnis verbessert. Die Edge Gruppe aus den Emiraten will ihre unbemannten Hubschrauber mit dem MILSAR vom Meteksan ausrüsten, die Emirate zeigen auch Interesse an der Stealth Drohne Anka-3 und an Kaan.

ROKETSAN announced that the Atmaca UM land attack cruise missile based on the Atmaca anti-ship missile had broken a new range and flight duration record.

This record came following the 400+ km test announced by the Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries, Haluk Görgün. A different flight pattern compared to other tests is noticeable in this test.

Unlike the previous tests, Atmaca UM flew at a higher altitude, which increases detection chances but is more fuel-efficient due to reduced drag. Some of the newer cruise missiles, like NSM, can switch flight profiles (For example, low-low-low or low-high-low) in terms of altitude to reach longer ranges depending on the requirement and target protection. Atmaca UM may have a variable flight profile for optimal engagement.

The jet-powered loitering munition’s capability to land using a parachute on command can open new possibilities outside its mainly intended offensive usage.

The optical seeker of Kemankeş 1 offers some degree of ISR capability thanks to 36x optical zoom and 2.8 km laser rangefinder features. With high speed and an endurance of one hour, Kemankeş 1 can be alternatively used as a scouting asset before the impact through the data link.
