ASELSAN Shows GÖKSUR PDMS in Vertical Launch Configuration
During Euronaval 2024, ASELSAN displayed GÖKSUR 100-N VLS Point Defence Missile System (PDMS) with vertical launch cells along with a turreted launcher as the third variant.

Euronaval 2024, held in France, was the scene for ASELSAN's major introductions of naval air defence solutions. Following the GÖKSUR 100-N PDMS with 20 GÖKSUR IIR (Bozdoğan-DH) missiles as a high-capacity alternative to the standalone GÖKSUR 100-N/StA with 12 missiles, ASELSAN also showed the more flexible configuration using vertical launch cells specifically developed for GÖKSUR IIR.

As shown by a scaled model, the cells can be mounted on the deck or embedded inside the hull for flexibility. The 3.3 m length and smaller diameter of GÖKSUR IIR missiles would allow for greater embedding freedom compared to larger HİSAR missiles.
Each GÖKSUR 100-N VLS module consists of one cell and exhaust for better freedom of placement.

Kale Jet Develops New Biga Jet Engine
A new jet engine project named Biga appeared in Kale Jet Engines’ recent trademark application document.
Kale Group company Kale Arge’s name was recently changed to Kale Jet Engines. The company applied to the Capital Markets Board (CMB) and published information about the company’sits works. The document stated that the Biga project was started in 2024 under the management of the Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB).
The document added that Kale Jet Engines had started the production of the Arat engine’s prototypes for tests.

There is no information regarding what type of jet engine Biga will be, but knowing the aim for engines with lower Thrust-Specific Fuel Consumption (TSFC) to improve the range, it might be a turbofan engine. Long-range cruise missiles like Tomahawk and Taurus KEPD-350 use turbofan engines with significantly lower fuel consumption than turbojet engines of the same size.

So far, the company has produced the KTJ-3200, KTJ-1750, and KTJ-3700 turbojet engines for ROKETSAN’s various cruise missiles, all of which have been tested in firing trials. The KTJ-1750 is used on the ÇAKIR compact cruise missile, while KTJ-3200’sthe test was performed with the land-based ATMACA anti-ship missile. The recent KTJ-3700 is used for the ATMACA UM (KARA ATMACA) ground-launched cruise missile.

Zitat:ASELSAN's ALP 500-G Radar to Detect from 750 km Range

Sensors
ASELSAN's ALP 500-G Radar to Detect from 750 km Range
ASELSAN disclosed on its website that the instrumented range of the upcoming ALP 500-G SEİRS fixed early warning radar is 750 km.
The ALP 500-G, a follow-up to the ALP 300-G, will have a significantly longer range and endurance due to its operation on a fixed site.
The radar being fixed on a site allows for regular power generation greater than that of a truck.
In addition to ALP 300-G's target set of aircraft and missiles, ALP 500-G will be capable of tracking ballistic targets as a secondary capability.
The radar's instrumented range is 750 km, and its adjustable altitude is up to 45 km.
Aside from better detection performance, ALP 500-G is being developed with countermeasures against anti-radiation missiles based on the classification of such missiles regularly employed against radars. This might involve the automated use of decoys or toggles upon detecting an anti-radiation missile heading towards the radar installation.
Other early warning radars in the works are ALP 400-G and ALP 600-G YİRAD high altitude early warning radar.
The mobile ALP 400-G is considered a long-range searching radar operating at lower frequencies (or longer wavelengths) than ALP 300-G. Low frequency provides advantages against targets with RCS reduction measures but is considerably more inaccurate than higher frequencies, requiring extra measures to eliminate the said flaw.
Fixed ALP 600-G will be a significant component in Early Warning and Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) capabilities, with a range beyond that of ALP 500-G. The radar will likely work in conjunction with the Siper Product 3 long-range air defence missile developed to intercept ballistic missiles.

ANTIDOT 3-U Provides Communication EA Capability for UAVs
ASELSAN's new UAV electronic warfare pod, ANTIDOT 3-U, will allow UAVs to attack enemy UAVs' communication links and GNSS.
After the ANTIDOT 2 family of electronic warfare pods against radars, ASELSAN disclosed the ANTIDOT 3-U communication electronic warfare pod on its website. Despite the external similarity with the ANTIDOT 2-U LB/MB/HB EW pod, ANTIDOT 3-U has a different internal layout for the task. Like ANTIDOT 2-U LB/MB/HB, ANTIDOT 3-U can be integrated into Bayraktar TB2, ANKA, AKSUNGUR, and AKINCI UAVs.
The pod can jam the data/control links of small-sized UAVs and GNSS signals. The underlining of capabilities against small UAVs is worthy of attention, which might hint at an intention to utilise C-UAS or self-protection against the recent kamikaze UAVs meant to shoot down other UAVs.
So far, other members of ASELSAN's EW pod family for UAVs consist of the ANTIDOT 2-U LB/MB/HB mini EW pod, the ANTIDOT 2-U EW pod, the ANTIDOT 2-U/S electronic support pod, and the ASOJ 234-U radar/communication EW pod for AKINCI-based UAV SOJ.

ASELSAN Teases ATGM-Fitted IFV Turret TurDef
ASELSAN has shown an IFV turret that can be armed with ATGMs on its document for 25 mm ATOM airburst ammunition, ATOM 25 ABM.

The new turret design is shown alongside the NEFER IFV turret and NEFER-L RCWS. The turret appears to have a 25 mm autocannon and retractable ATGM launcher with two missiles.

The design is externally similar to the KORHAN turret with a matching structure and scale; thus, it might be a new configuration with lighter autocannon options compared to the 35 mm autocannon on the baseline configuration to make room for ATGMs.

Like NEFER-L, fitted with an ammunition programmer at the barrel end for ATOM 25 ABM for the KORKUT 25 C-UAS system, NEFER and the new turret must be modified similarly.

Lock After Launch Used on UAV-122 Missile for the First Time TurDef
In a recent firing test of ROKETSAN's UAV-122 aeroballistic missile with a TV seeker, a lock-after-launch (LOAL) feature was utilised for the first time.
After firing from the AKINCI UCAV, UAV-122 navigated towards the sea target and scored a hit inside the circle using its TV seeker.
ROKETSAN stated that the test used LOAL capability for the first time on the missile.
ROKETSAN's optically guided missiles, like UMTAS and OMTAS, feature LOAL capability, which allows for target selection or hitting points. The existing hardware/software was likely used to provide this capability to the TV Seeker configuration of UAV-122.
Writing is seen on the tested missile before the launch, "TCG ANADOLU'ya Selamlar" (Greetings to TCG ANADOLU), referring to the TCG ANADOLU LHD. This hints at UAV-122 being considered for Bayraktar TB3 naval UCAV, which performed its takeoff and landing tests from the ship. Bayraktar TB3 can carry two UAV-122 missiles for strikes beyond the reach of short and medium-range air defence systems.
UAV-122 is a development of the TRG-122, a 122 mm guided artillery rocket with modified fins and guidance software. The missile, which has a range of 55+ km, can be fitted with a laser or TV seeker in addition to GNSS/INS guidance to enhance precision, especially against moving targets. The TV seeker provides a video feed to the operator for MITL control.
