ROKETSAN Test-Fires LEVENT Missile
The launcher fired a LEVENT short-range air defence missile with onboard AESA radar and EO/IR system.
The test was announced on the company's X account. LEVENT Point Defence Missile System (PDMS) has been developed for warships as a successor to the U.S.-made Mk49 RAM systems.
LEVENT will be developed in two configurations: the 'bare' version with 21 cells but no onboard sensor like Mk49 RAM and the autonomous configuration with 11 cells, AESA radars, and a gimbal EO/IR.
Surprisingly, the latter was used in the test despite being revealed later than the first. The autonomous configuration of LEVENT was unveiled in the IDEF'23 exhibition.

TUSAŞ’s Hürjet advanced trainer jet will perform this morning its first supersonic test. The governorship of Ankara announced the test flight due to the sonic boom, which will occur at transonic speed.
According to the statement, Hurjet will take off from Mürted Air Station at 9:30 am local time and will land at the same station at 10:30. Hurjet was known to fly at 0.9 Mach previously. The aircraft is designed to fly at 1.4 Mach maximum speed.

G/M-1 quad-packable air defence missile for the MİDLAS vertical launch system will introduce an array of new features to counter more capable threats.
TurDef learned during SAHA EXPO 2024 that the quad-packed air defence missile first revealed in the IDEF'23 exhibition was named G/M-1 and is part of the SAPAN project. The SAPAN project covers the development of air defence missiles for warships, including HİSAR-D RF, SİPER Product 1-D, and G/M-1.
Following the test-fired HİSAR-D RF missile, ROKETSAN intends to move forward with the considerably more capable G/M-1 missile with new guidance features.

ASELSAN has introduced the KORKUT 25 RCWS, capable of firing 25 mm ATOM airburst ammunition, as a new hard-kill C-UAS solution in SAHA EXPO 2024.

KORKUT 25 was put on display onboard a Nurol Ejder Yalçın 4x4 AFV at the outdoor section of the SAHA EXPO 2024 exhibition.

The airburst munition-capable RCWS is, in fact, a development of the NEFER-L 25 mm RCWS for smaller armoured vehicles with an ammunition programmer similar to the one used on KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG to time the fuse of ATOM ammunition.

KORKUT 25 is armed with a 25 mm chain gun capable of firing 25 mm ATOM ammunition and a 7.62 mm co-axial machine gun for short-range engagement. The maximum range of the 25 mm chain gun is 1000+ m for mini and micro UAVs.

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM developed the EW pods based on its experience in F-16 electronic attack and electronic support pod projects. The pods' weight and power requirements were adjusted according to the UAVs' specifications.
The EW Pod Family consists of an ETPOD electronic attack pod, EDPOD-K electronic support pod, EHPOD-S DFRM jamming pod, and SPPOD-L/M infrared self-protection pods.

During SAHA EXPO 2024, MKE displayed a mock-up of 122 mm guided artillery rocket fitted with deployable wings for longer ranges.

A MKE official has stated that the goal is to develop an extended-range 122 mm guided artillery rocket with a range of 67.5 kilometres and the firing tests are planned to be made this year.

Conventional 122 mm artillery rockets can reach a range of 20 to 40 km depending on the configuration of the rocket motor. MKE wants to take a new approach by adding deployable wings to provide a gliding capability.

The stated range roughly nears 227/230 mm artillery rockets which mostly are rated at 70 km.

BG-160, BG-180, and BG-220 have been developed for Baykar's KALKAN VTOL UAV, while the much larger BG-460 is aimed towards Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar TB3, and AKINCI. The software and optical components belong to Baykar, which blocks another way for embargoes to hit possible sales.
BG-160, weighing 2.4 kg, was developed in the day and thermal configurations with 1920x1080 and 640x512 px resolutions, respectively. The thermal configuration was created in response to a request from Turkish Special Forces.

BMC POWER introduced LEVEND and MAVİ BATU marine engines developed with 100 per cent Turkish engineering at the SAHA EXPO.

BMC Power, which has focused on domestic engine production for land defence vehicles, will also put this capability into use at sea. BMC Chairman of the Board of Directors Fuat Tosyalı stated that they are very honoured to be the main contractor of the MAVİ BATU Engine Development Project, which will be the heart of their military ships.

The integration work of the same engine into Kirpi II vehicles continues. The testing phase has also been reached for integrating the 600-horsepower AZRA Engine developed by BMC POWER into Tank Carrier Vehicles. The LEVEND Engine was developed as marine version of AZRA Engine.

The test production of the STM500 pressure hull was completed in 2023, including quality test processes. With the successful production of the first test block at TEKFEN facilities under the supervision and control of STM engineers, with completely domestic infrastructure and facilities, the test blocks of a war submarine were produced domestically in the civil industry for the first time in Turkiye.

ASELSAN will unveil the new configuration of GÖKSUR PDMS, which does not have onboard sensors but 20 missiles, at the Euronaval 2024 exhibition.
The new variant, GÖKSUR 100-N, trades off AKREP 200-N AESA radars and electro-optics for 20 missiles, whereas the standalone variant GÖKSUR 100-N/StA holds 12.
GÖKSUR will use the GÖKSUR IIR short-range air defence missiles developed from Bozdoğan WVRAAM missile. The extra features on GÖKSUR IIR include folding rear fins and a two-way datalink to receive midcourse updates from the radars.

Auf der Euronaval 2024 hat Roketsan ein Mock-up der Siper Product-2 ausgestellt. Die war der erste Auftritt des neuen Flugabwehrraketen Systems auf einer Rüstungsmesse im Ausland. Siper Product-2 ist größer, der Durchmesser der Rakete ist breiter als bei Product-1 und die Reichweite soll mehr als 150 km betragen. Momentan befindet sich Siper Product-2 in der Erprobung und soll im Laufe des nächsten Jahres die Reife für die Serienproduktion erlangen. Der größere Durchmesser erlaubt die Nutzung eines stärkeren Raketentriewerks und eines effizienteren Suchkopfs, der sich sich gut zur Bekämpfung von Zielen mit niedriger Rsdarsignatur eignet.

SİPER long-range air defence system's new missile SİPER Product 2 has been displayed in an exhibition for the first time in Euronaval 2024.

ROKETSAN put the upcoming missile's mock-up on display alongside that of the HİSAR-O missile to show the size difference clearly. This marks the first exhibition appearance and the first in a foreign expo.

Compared to the two-stage SİPER Product 1 with a range of 100+ km, SİPER Product 2 is a single-stage missile with a range of 150+ km with a significantly larger frame.
